Error Message "Error opening nga_ee.dll" and "Check path to MatLab dll's".

Problem:

Occurs when attempting to run the Extended Euler Solutions (EXEULER.GX) on the Pdepth menu.

"Error opening nga_ee.dll" and "Check path to MatLab dll's".

Environment:

Oasis montaj v7.1 SP1

Resolution:

1. Uninstall Oasis montaj using the Control Panel | Add or remove Program Tools
2. Delete the Oasis montaj folder located C:\Program Files\Geosoft\Oasis montaj.

   Be sure to back up any custom build files stored in this directory.



3. Reinstall Oasis montaj v7.1 from an installed CD.

Root Cause:

There is a conflict with a specific DLL shared between UX Analyze and ExEuler. When adding UX Analyze to a license a group of DLLs (called MATLAB runtime) are added to the Oasis montaj\bin directory. These DLLs can create a conflict with Extended Euler resulting in an error message. In Oasis montaj v7.1 UX Analyze no longer installs these particular DLLs so a fresh Oasis montaj 7.1 install does not have this conflict. However, an upgrade from 7.0.1 to 7.1 does not remove the old DLLs from Oasis montaj\bin, so there is still the potential for this conflict.
