How To: Set up or change shortcut keys

Problem/Symptom:
User would like to change the default shortcut keys to something they are more familiar with.

Environment:
Oasis montaj and Target.

Resolution:
In v6.4.2: Data | Configure Shortcut Keys;
In v7.0: GX | Map Settings | Configure Map Shortcut Keys and/or GX | Database Settings | Configure GDB Shortcut Keys, depending on what shortcut keys you would like to configure.

When the Shortcut Keys dialog is displayed, the user can click on a macro (tool or function) from the left-hand pane, and click the [Create Shortcut] button. The resulting dialog will allow the user to select a new combination of shortcut keys simply by pressing the combination of keys. If the shortcut keys chosen by the user are currently assigned to another function, the user will be notified; however the shortcut key can still be assigned if the user clicks [OK].

Note: only the macros that are in the list of available macros can have shortcut keys.
