Error Message: "Cannot contour a grid that is outside of the data view area of the current map. Display the grid in the map and use RESZMAP GX to resize the data view to include the grid"

Problem/Symptom:
Error message occurs when attempting to add contours to a plan view gird on a Section Plan.

Full error: "Cannot contour a grid that is outside of the data view area of the current map. Display the grid in the map and use RESZMAP GX to resize the data view to include the grid".

Environment:
Section plotting in Drillhole Extension for Oasis montaj v7.0, and in Target v7.0.

Resolution
To resolve the error message set the Default Drawing View to be the Data View.

1) Go to Map Tools | Default Data Drawing View.
2) Set the Default View to Data and press OK.
3) Then add the contours following standard procedures.

Root Cause
When plotting a section the default drawing view is set to Section View. So when you attempt to add contours to the Data View by going to Map Tools | Contour - the GX is searching for a grid in your Section View. When the GX fails to locate the grid it gives the above error message. Therefore, you need to set the default drawing view to be your data view and not your section view.
