Cannot select a printer when printing in Geosoft, using Windows Vista

Problem/Symptom:
I cannot get the page or printer set up function to work. It keeps me locked into a printer and does not let me change it.

Environment:
This resolution applies to all versions of Oasis Montaj or Target that are being used on the Windows Vista operating platform.

Resolution:

1) With Geosoft closed, navigate to C:\Program Files\Geosoft\Oasis Montaj or Target\user\ini and delete the geosettings.meta file.

2) Make sure you have a printer selected as your default Windows printer in the printing Control Panel.

3) Startup Geosoft and the geosettings.meta file will be recreated. Hopefully this will allow you to print.

4) If you need to change the printer again, you may need to go through steps 1-3 above, again.

Root Cause:
This problem is caused by the Vista operating system. Geosoft is working on becoming fully Vista (Business Edition) compatible by v7.0.1.
