The v7.0 CD insert says "A license key, located on the back of the CD package label, is required to run the software". There is no license key on my CD case. Where do I get my license key from?
Symptom/Problem:
My installation CD says "A license key, located on the CD package label, is required to
run the software" or "The license key can be found on the back of the CD cover". I can't find a label on the CD package. Where do I get my license key from?
Environment:
This resolution applies to users that are upgrading to Oasis montaj\Target version 7.0, or upgrading to Target for ArcGIS version 3.0.
Resolution:
Your license key can be found by going to Start | All Programs | Geosoft | [Geosoft Product] | License | View. This will open up an HTML page, showing all of your licensing details, including your license key. Although the v7.0 install process will manage your license for you, it's a good idea to jot down your license key prior to installing, just in case.
Root Cause:
The license key on the CD case is intended for new users without an existing license key. Users that already have a license key will not have a printed license key on the CD case, this was a mistake on our part. If you already have a license key the upgrade will handle the licensing for you, and you can always view your existing license key by using the license view. If you cannot find your license key and need it, please contact technical support.
