How To: Move data between the Data group and Base group in a map

Symptom/Problem:
I have created a group in the Base view with text and line drawings, and now they are not visible. I want to bring them to the top of the render order of the map in the Data view. How can I do this...

Environment:
This resolution only applies to Oasis Montaj and Target v7.0. The task is operated in the View\Group Manager tool.

Resolution:

1. With the group displaying in the Base view, you need to select that layer in the View\Group Manager.

2. Once selected, right click on the view on the map and select COPY.

3. Next, you need to select the Data view in the View\Group Manager. Left click on the Data view in the View\Group Manager.

4. Finally, right click on that view on the map and select PASTE or PASTE GEOREFERENCED. Remember, the group will be georeferenced to the Data view, so the group will probably appear oversized, and displaced from the main data view of the map.

5. In order to correct this, select the group, then zoom out until the main map is visible, ensure you have the group ticked as "moveable", then move the group over the map's data view, and re-size and position as necessary.

6. You will have a similar displacement problem of a group when copying from a Data view to a Base view.
