How To: Calculate statistics within a rolling window in a channel

Problem/Symptom:
Can I calculate statistics within a rolling window in a channel in a GDB?

Environment:
This resolution applies to version 7.0 of Oasis Montaj and Target, but can also be applied to earlier versions.

Resolution:

You can calculate a statistic within a rolling window in a channel as another way to remove spikes from data.

To do so select Database Tools > Filters > Rolling Statistics (X-Utility > Filters > Rolling Statistics in pre-v7.0). Statistics are calculated on the values in a window surrounding the individual data points.
