Is Oasis montaj compatible with the Windows XP 64bit Operating System?
Geosoft products are not developed to run on a Windows XP 64-bit Operating System. Our developers write and test the code to be fully combatable with Windows XP 32-bit OS. With that said, a small number of users have installed Oasis montaj on 64-bit with minimal issues.
Regardless, Geosoft Support recommends our users to install Oasis montaj, Target, or Target for ArcGIS on a 32-bit OS to avoid unwanted hassles. Because we do not develop or test our software on Windows XP 64-bit we cannot guarantee that the program will run without any complications.
If installing a Geosoft Product on a 64-bit machine is unavoidable be aware that you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 for 64-bit XP. Our current installations will only install 32-bit .NET 2.0.
