Trying to open a project, database, map or grid in Oasis Montaj/Target/Target for ArcGIS, but I get the error:
"Unable to open "C:\Program Files\Geosoft\software\temp\*_geotmp..." for mode "WriteNew" because (Access is denied.) Directory or file not found, unreadable or may already be open." Trying to install Oasis Montaj or Target v7.0, and I get error messages saying that the current version of ArcEngine is 9.1, and this needs to be upgraded. Or, an existing ArcEngine already exists. The installation of Geosoft then quits, and I cannot proceed from here (and thus cannot install Geosoft).

After installing Geosoft software, every time you start your computer or specific programs you receive the following error message "Please wait while Windows configures ArcGIS Engine Runtime". At this point ArcEngine proceeds to reinstall.

Trying to import an image (*.bmp, *.eps, *.gif, *.img, *.j2k, *.jp2, *.jpg, *.pcx, *.png, *.tga, or *.tif), but it does not import and results in three successive error messages: "The "d_anyxgd.dll" dynamic object could not be loaded. There is probably a missing function in a DLL, or a DLL is out of date. GEOGX problems may be caused by a missing GS_EXPORT qualifier for a required function."; "Unable to locate the d_anyxgd.dll DLL to create the XGD DAT interface to the MAG object."; and "Failed to determine grid range."
