How to update

Online installs for each product are available through the Check for updates option within the software and from the download link at the top of this page. If you require the upgrade on a DVD, you can request one here.

System Requirements

Target for ArcGIS 4.1 requires ArcGIS 10 (SP5), ArcGIS 10.1 (SP1), or ArcGIS 10.2. Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit) is recommended. Windows 8 (requires ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 or newer), Windows Vista 32/64 (SP2), and Windows XP (SP3) are also supported. See detailed System Requirements.

New Capabilities

Ease of Use

Interpretation Geodatabase coordinate system definition

An Interpretations Geodatabase can now have an undefined (* unknown) coordinate system or a projected coordinate system that may be different from the coordinate system of the drillhole project. This change provides more options and coordinate system definition requirements that are less strict.

Zoom to Original Map Scale

The new "Zoom to Original Map Scale" option enables you to easily to return to the original map scale of a Target for ArcGIS data frame after having zoomed or changed scale.

Snapping to To or From of a single from-to interval

Improved snapping options enable you to snap to either the To or From values (top or bottom of intervals), and individual intervals that are not connected to another from-to value.

Enhancements and maintenance fixes

IS117778 Adding the ability to snap with another feature (geostring interpretation) when creating a new geostring interpretation.
IS119096 Add the ability to export Geosoft String fGDBs to 3D PDF.
