Oasis montaj 6.3.1 is a maintenance release that primarily addresses bug fixes and includes a new Map-to-Dapple tool. This release also includes all the updates made in 6.3 Hotfix 1 and 6.3 Hotfix 2.
Target 6.3.1 provides a new Map-to-Dapple tool that enables users to display their currently viewed map area in Dapple. The viewed region of the current map is exported to a GeoTIFF image, which is then displayed inside Dapple. Note that, the original map must be in a projected or geographic coordinate system.
Dapple is a global data explorer designed to provide an open and optimal environment for visualizing, presenting and sharing massive quantities of geoscientific data from corporate or Internet DAP, WMS or government tile servers. With Dapple you are able to find other data that may be of interest for your project - data such as NASA Landsat data, or Geologic Survey of Canada geology layers. These data sets can be easily exported from Dapple to a GeoTIFF that can then be added to your project maps. For more information on Dapple visit, http://dapple.geosoft.com
To install the offline version this update, download, unzip and run the exe file found on the software updates page. The file is very large and may take some time to download.
