UXO Land provides a comprehensive software solution for the detection and analysis of buried unexploded ordnance (UXO) and the planning, quality control and management of UXO projects. It works with magnetic and electromagnetic data.  

UXO Marine provides a dedicated workflow along with specialized tools for detecting and assessing UXO, buried utilities, and other seabed contamination in the marine environment. It works with total field and gradient magnetic data in any array configuration.

UX-Analyze is an extension that adds to the functionality of Oasis montaj and UXO Land, with capabilities for target classification, modelling and analysis using advanced electromagnetic data.

UXO Land

+ What is UXO Land?

UXO Land is an extension for Oasis montaj that merges two long-standing Geosoft extensions, UX-Detect and UX-Process, into a complete geophysical data processing and analysis solution for UXO projects, using magnetic and electromagnetic (EM) data.  

+ Who developed UXO Land?

The development of UXO Land is a collaborative effort of Geosoft, U.S. government agencies and experts within the UXO community. 

UXO Land includes the full merged workflow of UX-Detect and UX-Process. UX-Detect is a Geosoft commercial product for UXO target detection and analysis that has been developed and refined for over 20 years. 

UX-Process was mainly developed over a 10 year period (2000-2010) to provide specialized QA/QC functionality and various additional capabilities to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in their munitions cleanup program.  Support and funding for this development was provided by the US Department of Defense (DoD) Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) with project leadership by USACE.

UXO Land provides capabilities for locating and analyzing UXO targets, based on magnetic (total field and gradiometer) and electromagnetic data (EM61).

+ What are the system requirements for UXO Land?

UXO Land requires Oasis montaj 9.0 or later and has the same system requirements. UXO Land replaces UX-Detect and UX-Process in earlier versions of Oasis montaj.

UXO Marine

+ What is UXO Marine?

UXO Marine is an extension for Oasis montaj that provides a dedicated workflow and specialized tools to process and visualize magnetic and gradiometer data for effective detection and analysis of targets in marine site investigation surveys.  

+ Who developed UXO Marine?

UXO Marine is a collaborative development effort of Geosoft and experts within the UXO community. It includes Acorn SI UXO modelling tools developed by Acorn Science & Innovation.

+ What data does it support?

UXO Marine supports magnetic and gradiometer data, including individual sensors and multi-sensor arrays. Commercial examples of such systems include multiple gradient (Marine Magnetics Seaquest) and horizontal gradient (Geometrics TVG) gradiometers. Additionally, UXO Marine supports your custom arrays mounted on frames and wings.   

+ What are the system requirements for UXO Marine?

UXO Marine requires Oasis montaj 8.0 or later and has the same system requirements.

UX-Analyze

+ What is UX-Analyze?

UX-Analyze is an extension that adds to the functionality of Oasis montaj and UXO Land, with capabilities for target classification, modelling and analysis using advanced electromagnetic data.

+ Who developed UX-Analyze?

UX-Analyze is a geophysical target classification, modelling and analysis system developed by Geosoft with Acorn SI, Leidos and predecessor companies. It was developed for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), with funding support from the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP). UX-Analyze includes significant AcornSI modeling capabilities developed by Acorn Science & Innovation. Development for UX-Analyze is ongoing.

UX-Analyze provides a comprehensive UXO classification tool for advanced electromagnetic sensor data. The system currently supports data from:

  • Geometrics Metal Mapper 2x2
  • NRL TEM 2x2
  • Original Metal Mapper
  • Man Portable Vector (MPV) system

+ What are the system requirements for UX-Analyze?

UX-Analyze requires Oasis montaj 9.0 or later as well as the UXO Land extension.

UX-Analyze may also be provided on request to certain authorized users. Courtesy of the United States Department of Defense's Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) and Geosoft, UX-Analyze is currently available to the UXO community in the United States at no charge, including technical support. This comprises US government employees, UXO contractors and regulators working for the US Department of Defense (DoD) on UXO projects for the US Government.
