The UX-Process tools improve the utilization of field data by identifying and correcting instrument and acquisition errors. The software package also addresses repetitive data quality issues associated with resurveying and the resulting loss of productivity in UXO investigations. The standard tests and tools developed under this project will enable the contractors tasked with collecting, processing and analyzing the data to be more effective in meeting Government data quality standards. UX-Process has been expanded over its lifetime to provide a comprehensive software system. The current workflow has been tailored and refined to provide an easy to use one-stop shop for the UXO community. It consists of 3 menus with over 90 menu items. Last year's poster at the SERDP/ESTCP Symposium discusses the latest developments in UX-Process. It can be found HERE. UX-AnalyzeWe are pleased to announce the first official release of UX-Analyze, after many years of development. This geophysical target modeling and analysis package has been built by SAIC and Geosoft, also supported by funding from ESTCP. UX-Analyze is an advanced system facilitating UXO target modeling, classification and interpretation. In contrast to UX-Process that has reached a level of maturity, this is the first Beta release of UX-Analyze. The download on this page includes a beta version of UX-Analyze (and a Patch that should also be downloaded and applied), and a walk-through tutorial. Note that UX-Analyze is a complex tool requiring a geophysics background to use and interpret the results. It is not a black box! Availability and SupportBoth UX-Process and UX-Analyze run under Geosoft's current version of Oasis montaj, and are currently available to the US UXO community at no charge. They can be added to any maintained Oasis montaj license upon request. US government UXO contractors and regulators using these tools are currently supported through Geosoft Technical Support (support@geosoft.com). Other users can refer to online technical resources, including the Geonet user forum. Users and interested parties are also encouraged to use the UXOnet online user forum as a venue to discuss software issues, post announcements and ask questions of colleagues. UX-Process has been developed and widely deployed over the last 9 years. Geosoft developed this set of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) tools, under Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) funding, as part of a custom software solution for the US Army Corps of Engineers (Huntsville Center). This package is widely used by contractors and other regulatory government organizations who are responsible for delivering quality geophysical data for UXO detection. It is used to some degree on most DGM MMRP projects in the US.
