Best Practices in Geoscience Data Delivery, Management and Access

Geosoft’s DAP user forum, held in March, 2005, provided an opportunity to share experience, knowledge and best practices with other data management professionals in the exploration industry.

The forum addressed the issue of effective geoscience data delivery, management and access; providing a business perspective on technology and trends within the exploration Industry. Geosoft customers shared their experience in implementing Geosoft DAP spatial server solutions and engaged in a discussion on best practice implementation requirements for Geosoft DAP.

At the forum, Ian MacLeod, Geosoft Chief Technologist introduced the next release of Geosoft DAP, 6.2, which will be available in May. The new release features significant enhancements to user interface, including a new web interface and new Geosoft DAP GUI for Oasis montaj, ArcGIS and Map Info. The new release will also provide more robust administrative tools.
