Sunday March 2, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Breakfast and lunch included

Target for ArcGIS (1 day) $500

The Target for ArcGIS course is for those who are new to Target for ArcGIS or would like a refresher course. Participants must have working knowledge of ArcGIS.

Topics include integration with ArcGIS mapping capabilities to create and display raster grids and contour lines.  Import and handling of drillhole data in the Target database is an essential component.  The course focuses on working with data to create plan and section maps with shape files and quick map layers, querying these layers, creating drillhole logs (strip logs) and 3D mapping.

Thursday March 6, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Lunch included

Target (1 day) $500

The Target Surface and Drillhole Plotting course is for those who are new to Target or would like a refresher course. It focuses on handling drillhole data for quick and easy plotting of plan maps, section maps, drillhole logs (strip logs) and 3D maps. Basic surface mapping tools are also covered.

Friday March 7, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Coffee/Tea and muffin snack included

Geochemistry Extension (half day) $250

Prerequisite: Introduction to Oasis montaj or equivalent experience
This half day course covers the following topics:

  • Data Preparation:
    • Importing geochemical data, survey data and lab analyses (assays)
    • QA/QC data handling
    • Merging and verifying data
    • Profiles, x-y plots, data linking
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyzing histograms
    • Pearson correlation
    • Bivariate and multivariate analysis
    • Creating subsets (masking)
    • Classifying data
  • Plotting Symbols:
    • Creating colour and size classified symbols
    • Creating multi-element symbols
    • Appling statistics to create symbol maps
