Geosoft talks at the 2013 SEG International Exposition
Tom Popowski, Geosoft Technical Product Manager, and Darren Mortimer, Geosoft Solution Consultant, will present an overview of the latest Geosoft products and services that are making an impact in earth exploration, during the SEG International Exposition in Houston, Texas, September 22-27.
The conference, organized by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), is the world's largest oil, energy and mineral exposition showcasing cutting-edge technology for use in exploration and associated industries.
At the presentation on New 3D geophysical modelling workflows for potential fields, Popowski will demonstrate how to create 3D gravity models starting with velocity volume from a 3D seismic survey. The solution provides a broader and better representation of density to create a more accurate model using Geosoft GM-SYS 3D Modelling.
The presentation on Integrating Grav/Mag with your seismic: Rapid creation of a 2D geological model constrained by seismic, potential field data, and well logs will show attendees how to quickly build 2D geological models by integrating grav/mag profiles, magnetic depth solutions, well LAS data and seismic data. Emphasis will be placed on building a starting model, from which different hypothesis can be easily tested.
