Geosoft talk in Beijing on recent advances in 3D Potential Field Inversion
Ash Johnson, Geosoft VP of Global Business, will be presenting a talk on Recent Advances in 3D Potential Field Inversion, during the Near Surface Geophysics Asia Pacific Conference in Beijing, China, Friday, July 19, 2013.
The conference, organized by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Chinese Geophysical Society, focuses on near-surface issues within the Asia Pacific region and provides a forum to discuss technical advances, developments and applications in near-surface geophysics.
Johnson's talk will provide insight into new and innovative methods to significantly improve discovery success. He will present three ways to improve real world 3D inversion modelling: Magnetic Vector Inversion (MVI) modelling, Cartesian cut cell methods (CCC), and Iterative Reweighting Inversion Focussing (IRIF). Johnson will demonstrate how all three of these advances significantly improve exploration outcomes, with little or no effort from the interpreter.
