Geosoft ranks among Canada’s top 150 technology companies
Geosoft has ranked 131 in the 2012 Edition of the Branham300, a listing of Canada's top technology companies. The list is compiled annually by leading industry analyst firm Branham Group based on revenue performance. In 2011, Geosoft revenues from providing technology and services for resource exploration and the earth sciences grew by 18% over the previous year.
“We have maintained our leadership status by staying connected to our roots in exploration, and by delivering technology that contributes to knowledge and resource discovery,” said Tim Dobush, Geosoft CEO. “After 26 years, we are still a company of explorers passionate about creating solutions for exploring through data.”
In other recent announcements, Geosoft reported on its expanded presence and support within China, with a dedicated business partner for its exploration technology, MaiQin; a Chinese language version of Geosoft’s geophysical software; and Chinese language training services available online and onsite to support software skills development.
New Geosoft technology released in 2012 includes VOXI Earth Modelling, cloud-based 3D modelling technology that advances exploration geophysics for improved geologic understanding and drill targeting. Recent updates to Geosoft’s earth mapping and analysis software, Oasis montaj, Target and Target for ArcGIS, delivered major 2D and 3D visualization enhancements and new capabilities for characterizing the Earth’s subsurface.
