Geosoft Adds Virtual Classroom Learning to its Roster of Software Training Services
Toronto, Ontario - Geosoft customers now have access to live, instructor-led software training over the Internet with new Geosoft Virtual Classroom training.
Connecting to the classroom with web conferencing tools, course participants can experience live, interactive training without ever leaving their offices. They can interact with the instructor and share experiences with other participants, while expanding their effectiveness with Geosoft software.
“Virtual Classroom training offers all the benefits of instructor-led training with the convenience of web-based learning,” said Lesley Marino, Instructional Designer, Geosoft. “Live training over the web gives participants access to a real instructor, and reduces travel and other associated costs for our clients”.
A recent survey polled participants on their first impressions of the course content and usability features. The results were decidedly favourable.
“The virtual training session provided a cost-effective alternative to on-site training by allowing employees from multiple offices to learn and interact together without adding costs for travel and lodging,” said Jeremy Haney, Geologist/Geophysicist with AMEC Earth and Environmental. “The remote group was able to share individual experiences and issues they have previously encountered when working with real-world datasets in Oasis montaj while learning from the experiences of others and the insight and expertise of the trainer.“
Many of Geosoft’s Standard Courses are available via virtual classroom setting, both publicly and privately. A public training course schedule is available online. Private virtual training can also be arranged by contacting your Geosoft Representative or emailing your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
