Visit us at the SEG 2015, for the latest on Geosoft software solutions for exploration and the earth sciences. Stop by our booth #1417 to engage in a technical discussion and see how Geosoft can assist you with your upcoming projects.

Featured Presentations

Our team is once again looking forward to hosting customer success stories on our booth. Presentations from both Bell Geospace and TGS will be featured.

DATE/TIME LOCATION TOPIC

Booth 1417 Advancing exploration with Airborne Full Tensor Gradiometry
Colm Murphy - Chief Geoscientist, Bell Geospace
Air-FTG® surveys are routinely acquired worldwide facilitating rapid identification of primary structural trends and play/prospect development on exploration projects. The value proposition is immense leading to efficient de-risking of held acreage. This short describes working case histories of how Air-FTG® data is used to make such informed decisions.

Tuesday
5:15pm

Booth 1417 A TGS Success Story in North East Greenland: Incorporating gravity and magnetics into multi-year survey planning
Felicia Winter - Interpretation Geophysicist, Geological Products and Services, TGS
TGS has conducted a regional interpretation study offshore Northeast Greenland based on the TGS NEG seismic survey and airborne gravity and magnetic data. The incorporation of potential field data in this study provided additional constraints in defining the tectonic framework, especially beyond the existing survey extent, and decreased the uncertainty for all aspects of project planning, such as scope of work, seafloor sampling locations, survey profile length and spacing.

Geosoft Presentations

View daily presentations demonstrating how to apply and integrate new workflows for 3D subsurface geophysical modelling, and techniques for rapid creation of a 2D geological model constrained by seismic, potential field data, and accelerate your energy exploration program.

DATE/TIME LOCATION TOPIC
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
11:00am
Booth 1417 Integrating Grav/Mag with your seismic: Rapid creation of a 2D geological model constrained by seismic, potential field data, and well logs
We will show how to build 2D geological models integrating grav/mag profiles, magnetic depth solutions, well LAS data and seismic data. Emphasis will be placed on building a starting model, from which different hypothesis can be easily tested.
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
2:00pm
Booth 1417 3D geophysical modelling workflows for potential fields
Demonstrating how to create 3D gravity models starting with velocity volume from a 3D seismic survey. Provides broader and better representation of density to create a more accurate model using Geosoft GM-SYS 3D Modelling.
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
3:00pm
Booth 1417 Improving base of salt interpretation for seismic migration using gravity data
Join Geosoft to learn how Voxel Assisted Layered Earth Modelling (VALEM) creates value for your potential field and seismic teams by efficiently improving base of salt interpretations using both gravity and seismic observations. We will demonstrate on-demand, high-performance computing using the VALEM cloud service, which is seamlessly integrated into Geosoft's interactive potential field platform GM-SYS 3D Modelling.
