Booth# 931

Geosoft will introduce its latest 3D developments at the PDAC 2014. Stop by our booth - 931 - to address your technical or software questions, and discuss how Geosoft can assist you with your upcoming exploration projects.

Booth Theatre Presentations

View daily presentations demonstrating how to apply and integrate new workflows for 3D subsurface geological modelling, and techniques for 3D geophysical inversion modelling to focus targeting and accelerate your mineral exploration program.

DATE/TIME LOCATION TOPIC
Monday & Tuesday
11:30 am
Booth 931 Getting more geological information out of your magnetic data - a Brazilian case study
We present a case study of the Quadrilátero Ferrífero in Brazil, and show how a new magnetic inversion method is able to improve 3D modelling of the subsurface. Magnetization Vector Inversion (MVI) is an improved approach that often exposes more geological information than traditional susceptibility inversion. We compare the two methods using data from an iron ore deposit in a magnetically complex region in Brazil.

Monday & Tuesday
2:00 pm

Booth 931 Enhanced 2D/3D workflows
See how workflows within Oasis montaj have been enhanced, putting more intuitive tools in the hands of exploration geophysicists. Featuring the redesigned IP system which allows you to work with and interpret your data more efficiently.

Monday
3:00 pm

Tuesday
4:00 pm

Booth 931 Drillhole exploration workflows in Target
Find out how you can work with drillhole data, from planning to 3D visualization, and generation of geological models. See how drillhole data can be integrated with other exploration data and how various geological interpretation workflows are applied to different stage exploration projects.
Monday

Tuesday
3:00 pm
Booth 931 Integrating geological and geophysical 3D modelling to improve drillhole targeting - A Canadian case study
The Great Whale iron property, located east of Hudson Bay in Québec is comprised of Lake Superior type magnetite iron deposits. We demonstrate the importance of collaboration between geologists and geophysicists in improving 3D Earth models by comparing the results of 4 types of earth models. We will highlight the power of Iterative Reweighting Inversion and Magnetization Vector Inversion in areas with little subsurface information to improve drillhole targeting.
