Geosoft's Dr. Rob Ellis will be presenting his talk, Inversion of Magnetic Data from Remanent and Induced Sources, during the ASEG 2012 conference & exhibition in Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Ellis' presentation will show that failure to accommodate for remanent magnetization in 3D voxel-based inversion can lead to misleading interpretations. He will present a technique called Magnetization Vector Inversion (MVI), which incorporates both remanent and induced magnetization without prior knowledge of the direction or strength of remanent magnetization.
